Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me. (Matthew 25:40)
As the people of God we strive to fulfill the Church's mission of loving your neighbor. Following the words of Our Lady of La Salette, "Come near my children", we seek to reach out in mercy and compassion to those in need, inviting them through our actions to draw closer to Jesus. We encourage all of our parishioners to be the presence of Christ to our neighbors in need.
"Preach the Gospel at all times and when necessary use words."
Always trying to seek out those who are in need, the Parish Social Ministries of Mary Queen are an active important part of parish life. Realizing that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ, we strive to help those in need with great respect and dignity. Our ministries range from helping grieving parishioners plan a funeral to financially supporting a parish in Bolivia and many ministries in between.
Our sister parish, Our Lady of La Salette, is a large, faithful parish in Cochabamba, Bolivia. As a result of our fundraising efforts, the parish has been able to replace a water tank, demolish a building and start construction of a two story structure. The structure will house a dining hall, kitchen, classrooms and a gathering space for parish functions.
