Mission Statement
The mission of the Mary Queen Adult Faith Formation program is to help adults nurture a friendship, knowledge of love and God, and to prepare them to witness to the Gospel - to help form the evangelized and evangelizers.
Ministry Description
Mary Queen Church, Friendswood, seeks to provide for and continuously discern the faith formation needs of all people in our parish. The parish programs for Adult Faith Formation (AFF) recognize that the primary mission of the Church is to evangelize and therefore seeks to support the spiritual journey and faith development of the people of God. The wide variety of programs recognizes that there are many levels of understanding of the faith, and stages of faith development, of the unique individuals that make up the community at Mary Queen Church. all are warmly welcome. All are invited to participate in the mission and life of the Church and of our parish. The role of the parish office for Adult Faith Formation is to help parishioners grow as evangelized disciples, as children of God, as doers of the Gospel. The AFF program seeks the help of parishioners who enjoy teaching adults, or who enjoy facilitating group discussions. Event coordination, planning and implementation skills are highly appreciated.
