Painted Churches Tour

Have you ever seen the Painted Churches? If not, now is your chance! Visit https://www.schulenburgchamber.org/painted-churches to learn more about these beautiful and historic churches.

We are scheduled for Friday, February 13, 2026, from 7:15 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. We will meet at Mary Queen at 7:15 a.m. and depart promptly at 7:30 a.m. It is approximately a two-hour drive to Schulenburg. We expect to arrive around 9:30 a.m., with the tour beginning at 10:00 a.m.

We will break for lunch mid-day and then continue our tour in the afternoon before heading home around 3:00–3:30 p.m. We plan to visit five to six churches and return to Mary Queen between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m.

Please bring money for lunch, as lunch is not included. The cost of the tour is $20 per person. Cash is preferred for quick and easy payment on the day of the tour, though cards will be accepted if needed.

New this year, we are providing chartered bus transportation for your comfort and convenience — complete with an onboard restroom. Our tour guide will travel with us on the bus, offering education and insight about the area and the churches along the way, something we would not experience if we were traveling in separate vehicles.
